Big Fish Little Fish

Big Fish Little Fish

An exhibition brought to you by Creative Days Art and Craft Workshops for Children

Big Fish Little Fish is the collective work of a group of children from the ages of 4 to 13, who attend weekly art and craft workshops run by Creative Days, here in Bedford. Over a period of 5 weeks the children have been working on a series of projects planned and designed specifically for the Pavillion's unique indoor space. Inspired simply by fish, the exhibition includes observational drawing, printmaking and mixed media construction.

The aim of our workshops is to encourage and develop the creativity in every child

Creative Days

Creative Days are Seasonal, Drop-In Workshops for children that take place at the Pavilion and Kiosk to mark special occasions and festivals.

Bedfordshire Landscapes

1st January - 6th February 2017

From New Years Day until Monday 6th February we have on display artwork from WinterRose Photography

The works on display are all of the local Bedfordshire landscape - Ancient Woodlands, Nature Reserves, Heathland and Lakes - and demonstrates a wide range of photographic styles. All work is available to purchase.

Predominantly a landscape and nature photographer, the majority of my work is based on the Bedfordshire landscape lakes, reservoirs and woodlands for the most part travelling further afield when time and schedules allow. I am naturally drawn towards serene images, and can often be found enjoying the tranquillity of the landscape before dawn.

I first got into photography whilst studying 'A' level art and continued to develop my photography whilst completing a Fine Art degree in painting. Despite temporarily teaching photography when I graduated, it is only recently that I have rediscovered my love for photography and once again began explore the joy of making images 15 years later!

I use both digital and film cameras, as well as an infrared camera, as my main tools. I like to get as much of the image 'right in camera', but the initial capture is often just the starting point of process. Using various post-processing techniques, and experimentation, I try to interpret the landscape in my own way.
