We are always on the look out for new talent and encourage any individuals who feel they would be an asset to our team to get in touch. Our recruitment process is rigorous:

  1. Fill out the form below.
  2. If we like the sound of you, we will invite you in for a trial shift to see if you like us (this is a 3 hour unpaid shift).
  3. If all goes well you will be invited back and you will embark on a one month training probation period. At the end of the month you will be reviewed and either offered a position for an additional three months, or you will be told you have been unsuccessful.
  4. If you are successful, at the end of the three months you will be reviewed again and at that stage, either asked to leave or taken on as a permanent employee - good luck!

Head Chef

The Pavilion at the Park, Bedford’s award-winning Park Cafe is looking for a Chef to join our growing team. We are looking for a keen Chef who has existing Head Chef experience or who would look to becoming a Head Chef. We need a hard worker who is keen to learn and who will become a passionate ambassador for our brand. A love of food is crucial as is impeccable time-keeping, reliability, honesty and the ability to respect your co-workers - technical skills can be taught. We do need you to have high standards and to never compromise on kitchen cleanliness, Health & Safety or food hygiene. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also crucial. You’ll be passionate about what you do with an eagerness to develop and learn with us. If you are ambitious this is a great opportunity to work with a great team who will nurture your skills and help you grow. Front of House

We are always looking for committed, reliable, experienced baristas to join our busy, award-winning Front of House Team.

Summer opening times

pavilion open 9-5pm
the window stays open until 6pm

last food orders 3:30pm

Autumn opening times
as of October 1st

pavilion open 9-4pm
the window stays open until 5pm

Mondays: Café opens at 10am

we are open 7 days a week and dogs are welcome on our heated veranda during the winter months

We occasionally close early for private bookings. Please always call us to book a table & avoid being disappointed!
