Did you see The Pavilion on ITV1?
It had been a secret for many weeks, but finally last Thursday we were able to share with you our exciting news that The Pavilion had been one of the locations for ITV1's Long Lost Families! If you didn't get to watch it, it will be available on ITVplayer for the next couple of weeks.
And the winner is......
Thank you to everyone who voted for us in the recent Bedfordshire Food and Drink Awards. The Pavilion was entered in the Best Newcomer category and we were really delighted to be awarded Highly Commended. It has been a fantastic first year and we hope that you have all enjoyed the different menus, food and events that make The Pavilion a really special venue. We couldn't do it without you though so please do keep the feedback coming and remember to write a review on TripAdvisor if you have a minute!
We would like to say a huge thank you to the Men in Sheds who recently fixed our broken chairs and are now making some bird boxes for The Kiosk at the Park in Russell Park. We enjoyed attending their Open Day last week and provided sandwiches and cakes for this event. If you haven't heard about Men in Sheds, it is a movement which was founded in Australia, specifically aimed at men aged 55+, which gives them the opportunity to get together and work with others in pursuing their hobbies, largely woodwork, sharing skills, learning new ones and helping with community-based projects. Future open days and full details can be found on their website.
Networking with Bedfordshire BusinessWomen
Last Thursday The Pavilion played host to the Bedfordshire Business Women, for their monthly meeting. Being Ladies Day at Ascot, it was hats and fascinators all round whilst the ladies enjoyed some Pimm's and canapés. If you would like to find out more about the group, which is open to all businesswomen living or working in the county, please visit their website. The group is currently organising a Summer Ball in aid of the Alzheimer's Society - again, all information is on their website if you would like to find out more and snap up the last few tickets!
